Capryloylglycin (with Decyl Glucoside, Butylene Glycol, and Water as the delivery system) is a yellow to light-yellow liquid designed as a skin microecology balancer. As a CAG-derived amino acid active, it helps regulate sebum production, refine the skin’s oil–water balance, and disrupt the growth environment of acne-related microorganisms.
Studies show that Capryloylglycin can help reduce excess sebum, limit lipid synthesis, and rapidly decrease populations of acne-causing bacteria, contributing to a clearer and more stable skin surface. It also shows effectiveness against Malassezia-related concerns, making it suitable for oily, acne-prone, and microecology-imbalanced skin.
Water-soluble and easy to formulate, it is typically used at 1.0–6.6% in serums, gels, cleansing formulas, and lightweight emulsions.
