ZLEY®MECFA10% is a cosmetic skin conditioning agent. Ferulic acid is a phenolic acid widely found in the plant kingdom, forming the cell wall skeleton by combining with polysaccharides and proteins. It is one of the effective components of traditional Chinese medicines such as Angelica sinensis, Ligusticum chuanxiong, and Ferula assa-foetida, and is also found in high concentrations in food ingredients such as rice bran, rice husks, wheat bran, vanilla beans, and coffee. Recent discoveries have revealed that ferulic acid is a novel non-peptide endothelin antagonist with whitening effects; it also possesses anti-free radical, anti-photoaging, plant-based sun protection, and skin-protecting properties. ZLEY®MECFA10% utilizes supramolecular inclusion technology, greatly improving the problems of instability and dissolution release associated with ferulic acid, thus significantly advancing its application.
