Ethylhexylglycerin, is also known as 3-2-(Ethylhexyl)oxyl-1,2-propandiol, a widely used antiseptic synergist with a moisturizing effect. It gives the skin a sense of joy. It also improves the broad spectrum of classic preservatives(such as phenoxyethanol), making the anti-corrosion system more effective and faster by reducing the surface tension of microbial cell walls and lower bacterial activity. The combination of Ethyl hexyl glycerol and EDTA-disodium is particularly effective for some formulations that are difficult to preserve(such as some high SPF sunscreen products and high oil phase lotions).
