1,2-Hexanediol is widely used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and skin care products. It is a polyol with an antibacterial effect and less irritation to the skin, which improves the safety of skin care products.
1,2-Hexanediol can replace alcohol to add to perfume. It can’t only reduce irritation, but also it’s an excellent solvent. It can also get products with high stability in the case of reducing the usage of surfactants.

Application:

1. Can be mixed and soluble in alcohols, diols, and oils.
2. 1,2-Hexanediol is widely used in cosmetics as a preservative, moisturizer, and osmotic aid.
3. 1,2-Hexanediol can be added to perfumes instead of alcohol.
